JVC DVD Recorder & Video Casstte Recorder Model DR-MV1S,

The unit was working well until recently and now will not come out of Standby or Power on via the remote control or Front panel Power on Button. It also fails to record any timer set programs. I can bring it back to life by switching it off and on at the mains wall socket, are you able to advise me on how I may be able resolve the problem please. Many thanks for your time Mike
