If by "off and on" you mean its switching back to standby, then the reason could possibly be the vertical scan circuit ready to fail, as the chassis your TV uses is notorious for that fault. (having the infamous C926 cap etc) Of course thats just the main prime suspect cause of the problem, but it could be anything!
