Sony DSC F828 PROBLEMS

Nazim Benjamin Posted Jun 05, 2007

Problem with my camera

Hi I have a Sony DSC F828 which is giving me some problems. When I turn it on, the green power light flashes once, then the red light under the display screen comes and thats it, I cannot go further. Anyone experienced the same problem or may be able to direct me to a service repair shop. My warranty is already expired.

I have the same problem. After a chat with a sony tech, I was told to send the camera in for service/repair, at the cost of $291.00!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if I want to spend $300 to fix a 4 year old camera, when I can spend $400 to buy a camera with more pixels, greater optical zoom, and smaller size that my F828.

My F828 has just (6/6/07) developed the same problem as yours. Sending it to Sony for repair (see sony.co.uk website for the PDF with details on what to do) it will cost £115 inc VAT whatever parts or labour is needed, Cheap at half the price LOL. It seems the only option as I have tried everything else. Hope this helps. Best regards Steve Rowledge
