Lens cap error

Any one have a lens cap error?. I've only used this a few times and is less than 4months old. It is obviously still under warranty but yet they still refuse to repair it saying that it has been tampered with!. This is riduculous, anyone know of any lawsuits, or any ideas how I can deal with this. I've been calling and emailing but the service manager does not return and calls. I am totally pissed and want to send these crooks to prison, or at least break JVC.
