help for JVC TV!

We have a JVC AV-21ETG2 TV, which suddenly turned off and the timer/standby mode keeps on blinking. we tried turning the tv off and not using it for an entire day, but the problem continued. every time we plugged the tv to the socket, the power light would turn on, but the tv screen is still black without any picture or sound. if we use the remote to press the power button , the time/standby mode will start blinking. we have also tried pressing the channel buttons on the tv itself and also pressing the off timer in the remote control but the tv still does not work. please help! thank you.
