hi, hope you can help, I purchased a used JVC digital video camera-- model #GR-D73U when I received the camera, it was completly dead, so we pluged it in to charge it up. when we tried to use the camera all we get is an error message saying lens cover is on. the problem is that we can not find a lens cover anywhere or a button to push to elimate the problem. all we get is a blank screen. any ideas? also we do not hav any manurals fot the camera, can i go online to get some? thanks , randy

    Going by the symptoms described it would strongly suggest that the device has the well known image sensor failure fault, as it "IS" on the list of models that has the potential to suffer from this problem. Unfortunately the free repair offer being made by JVC on this fault is ONLY applicable to the ORIGINAL purchasers of the device, so any circumstances where something is purchased second hand does not qualify the present owner to take advantage of the offer.
