Cable cord running into speaker...

I am concerned my privacy is being toyed with... Might sound crazy, but I noticed cable cord, not just speaker wire running into my one main speaker. I had taken off the face and there are loose and just sitting there as though something was manually added. It looks ike a camerea may have been in there as there is a little roung ring against the inside of the speaker cover. I guess my question is should there be cable cord in the speaker? I just want to verify what I am seeing. Thank you so much for your time if this is even a valid question to answer.
