I have a HDR-HC1E PAL. A had C:21:00. I did your trick and it worked !! - Remove the batteries - hit the camera with the open palm => it works.

Hi there I am glad to be part of the Handycam whacking club. I tries the same on my camera (removed the batteries and whacked its bottom 2-3 times). The "moisture indication C:21:00 went off instantly. All fine till now
