preview mod problems

My cam is wrking properly , only the problem i am facing is that when i try to copy it to computer it is giving that the programm can not open preview mode and it's not showing anything and also not capturing anything... i tryed with so meny programs ulead video studio 8, 9, and 11 plus versions the same story.... it is telling check your device.... i have tryed everything with all the programs , but i am afraid the problem is my camcoder..... but when i conect cam to TV it's okay... any body can explain me this? pls... thxs
