I have had no luck. I called Sony Direct Parts and they said it is discontinued. I also called all of the electronic parts stores I could find on Google with no luck. The biggest parts surplus store in Kansas or Nebraska said that they don't have it and that if Sony discontinued supporting it chances are no one will have it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. For me I have moved on and I am ready to upgrade my system. I got a good 12 years out of it. I guess I really can't ask for more. I think this time however I will stay away from stereo systems with funky wires and cables or in this case a computer ribbon. Good Luck!
