JVC GRD30AG

This unit was not being used for sometime. Took it out to transfer my video from mini dv tape to my pc. Manage to transfer to PC sucessfully. The next day try to do recording and the LCD displays SAFE GUARD ERROR. I removed the tape and reinsterted again but still the same. NOW the switch is OFF but the power/charge light is on and no other functions are working. Ple4ase help.
