Re[3]: JVC service or questions

karen Posted May 03, 2007, in response to:JB38

where is the "AV out"? I have a small round connection that says AV, but we use this to connect to a sound system when recording so that you can hear the audio better. (maybe that's wrong) The only other connections i have are svideo, and then 2 inside where the display screen closes - one labeled USB (but it's really small and looks more like firewire - see below for shape) and one labeled DV (rectangular with small inset at bottom). shape is something like below - geometry's been too long ago so I can't remember what it's called. :) /~~~~\ /______\ Thanks for your help.

Just clarification on above, when I mentioned Yes! thats the AV out you would use, I am referring to the AV socket you are presently using into a sound system, not the image of the DVi out socket shown at the bottom of your posting.

Yes! thats the AV out that you would use. If the lead you have plugged into that socket is the JVC original then one of the plugs on the other end should be yellow, and thats the video connection which should be used into the tape machines AV video input socket. (AV meaning audio / visual)
