I'VE BEEN TRYING FOR A FEW DAYS TO TRANSFER SOME PICTURES PLEASE TELL ME A EASY WAY TO DO THIS.I BOUGHT A FIREWIRE PLUG WITH 4PINS .THAT DIDN'T WORK, IWENT BACK A BOUGHT A USB PLUG THAT DON'T WORK. LET ME KNOW WHAT I'M DOING WRONG. .

Most of the people that I have found that have had this issue with this camcorder are having the problem because they are trying to upload the video by usb rather than firewire. The upload will operate at a 1 to 1 scale (ten minutes of video will take ten minutes to upload as it's coming from a DV tape, not a disk) and 60 minutes of video will take approximately 12gig of hard drive space. I hope this helps. Oh, and if you want to then put your video onto DVD my suggestion would be DVD Santa or Roxio.
