received of a freecycle site rear projection sony tv model kp44px3u.goes on standby, told, did get picture up but images had red and green out lines

hi all have got this tv off a freecycle site, gr8 tv,told goes on standby, sometimes, did get the picture up but gor red lines around images, done the conveyance, as said on instruction book, still northing, could anybody give us any help with this, also any ideas how much to get repaired, and can anyone recommend a good repairers as nr to lincoln in lincolnshire plz. many thanks jen
