I can't switch lighting modes because my joystick button doesn't work when I press it downward.

The little joystick button works fine for up, left and right. It also leans toward the down direction now. Any ideas on how to fix and how much it might cost? My camera is great but it is unfortunately stuck in a 'candlelight' mode and that, of course, doesn't work for all types of pictures. I can only use it in bright daylight now. It's too late for the warranty as I've had it for a couple of years. Thanks for any help.
