common problem is the inverter... look it up on ebay.. you have sound but no picture? your screen will pop up for a second the go black...

I have one of these sets and mine did this within days of buying it, mine would give a picture for a few seconds, then the backlight would go out, I would switch it off at the mains and try again several times until it stayed on, then I would leave it on for days at a time, eventually it failed altogether, I stripped the whole set apart and found the fault and cured it. Today the pic vanished again with the same fault and I have the main board out again now, and sure enough it needs the same work done again. Dear Paul Please see other website reviewcentre.com which shows lots of reviews on this lcd tv. It seems that mainly anyone who has had it for longer than a year have all had problems with the picture and there was a known manufactures fault with the audio going back as far as 2004. One reviewer said that logik was in fact Currys own make though I don't know if thats 100% correct as we were told when we bought it from Currys that it was a Swiss make. Since 2004, all info on the net indicates LCD tvs should last for at least 50,000-60,000 viewing hours before the back light goes down to half power or thereabouts which means as this tv says minimum 50,000 it should last for years.
