Picture Rolls. Can't stop it.

I have a JVC TV set. Model # AV 36320 or 32320. Remote is RM-c205, I have both a VCR and a DVD attached to the TV.. I also have Dish Network Basic. When I'm on Dish it plays fine. I have automatic Comcast because my condo community supplies it, like it or not, for the basic channels 2-32. When I go off Dish to "Video 1"`, the picture starts rolling. When I try to play a DVD, the picture still is rolling. It worked fine each way until today, when it started to roll. Can't stop it. The users guide does not cover this problem.HELP!
