I have a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV24E. The tape is stuck in the holder.

I think I have put the tape in upside down and it appears to be stuck in the acrrier which has automatically lowered itself down. Using the release button will not lift the carrier to allow me to remove the tape. Turning on the machine causes all the lights to flash! Any ideas please? Regards Adam
