Going on vacation soon, need help!

I have a JVC GR-DVL725. I've had problems with E03 errors, but found ways around it. Today I turned it on, after not using it for a few months, and there's no power at all. I plugged in AC adapter but charge light does not turn on, also cannot eject tape. I tried more than one battery. I did some searching and read that it could be a blown fuse. I've never opened it before, so don't know where to find it. Since I'm going on vacation soon I don't want to run out and get a new camera and given its age its probably not worth taking it to a repair shop. Help!!
