HomeError code C31:40 The camera will not engage when powered up. It blinks C31:40 in the view screen. I removed the tape and replaced it with a new one...same result. The tape housing will not return inside the camera when closed. That's when the error message blinks. I've disconnected the battery, power cord, etc...same result.

Had he same problem. Try taking the battery off, close the view screen, hold it firmly in one hand and smack the bottom of the camera. This may sound weard but it work for me and for one of my brothers cameras. |
