On pressing SEL for two seconds, get the "DEMO" setting and hitting the +/- switch at the bottom right, can't get the hour or min. setting. Just DEMO. Now this is a bummer! is right there man You talk about the bright light from the clock too...if you continue to scroll through the options after setting hours and mins, you can turn the dimmer on...still pretty obnoxious...but somewhat improves night driving. hold sel button for 2 seconds and then press either one of the skip buttons until you get to the minute and hours hope this helps thank you klov. after changing my head gaskets, brakes, rear struts, and even going as far as taking a class and re-painting my car myself (and it turned out great), there was still one thing urking the bejesus out of me about my car, -that bright blue demo display routinely showing me the wrong time!!!. Its now going on 3 years now (i think) with this radio and finally i can look at it and trust its time. thank you, thank you, thank you. You've made my 35 mile per day drive back and forth to work a whole lot less irritating. ok....so here is the official way. Press and hold SEL for five seconds. This gets you to a different menu system that gives you the following options: DEMO, SET HOUR, SET MIN, DIMMER, TRACK INFO, AMP. To scroll between these you press the NEXT or PREV buttons located in the lower right. Then you can change these options by moving the volume wheel right or left. Setting the minutes is easy. Hit the SEL button for 2 seconds, and you can set the minutes by turning the knob. Setting the hours is much harder. I don't know the official way, but I can offer a work-around. To change the hours backwards (as in daylight savings time in the fall), wait until one minute before the hour (X:59). Then set the minutes to 00 (effectively going back 59 minutes). After a minute (or two), when you are now in the correct hour, set the minutes to the correct minute. Changing the hours ahead (as in daylight savings time in the spring) is easier. Change the minutes to 59. Wait a minute (until the hour rolls over), and then adjust the minutes back to the proper time. i would like to know too |
