E04 Error. Unit in safegaurd mode. Eject and re-insert tape.

Unit will not accept tape, i.e. tape carrage comes out goes in without tape, but will not return with tape in place. On removing tape carrage returns. E04 error code (Unit in safegaurd mode) with eject and re-insert tape, appears on screen when tape inserted in carrage. Continual attempts at re-insertion display E04 message as described
