Component issolated and goes into protect mode.

I have Sony STR-K740P which goes into protect mode about 5 seconds after I turn it on. I've unplugged all inputs / outputs and even the speakers and no change. I suspect a overheating senario since I had a Dish box on top at the time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kurt
