hard disk for JVC SR-DVM70 and warranty

I need help for this hard disk, it broke few days after I got here to Iceland. Does anybody know why They sent me a region 3 player. It is not written anywhere and I live here up ini Iceland, region 2 europe. Does anybody know about warranty from them. They don't answer me. And anybody has codes to region free the player/recorder? emiliano
