I have a JVC video camcorder, model # GR-AX890U. When I turn it on I can't look through the viewfinder without seeing a whole bunch of fuzzy vertical lines. It also says that I have my lens cap on. ????? Is this a technical fault?

Re the problem though, go into JVC's web page and you will see that your model is covered by the manufacturing fault "free" repair programme.
