Camera not turning on :(

I bought the 8.1 megapixel camera from sony. It was working perfectly fine until out of no where now it powers up but the LCD screen displays "Turn the power off and on again". The camera just wont start anymore. Each time I turn it on I get the same message. I dont know what the problem is and cant seem to fix it. :( pls help!!
