HELP, TV is dead again

I've had my tv about 5 years. After 8 months it went dead. I was watching it and it made a low pop and picture and sound went out. The blue power light was flashing and an intermintent buzz came from the speakers. I had to unplug it to turn it off. It was repaired under warranty but took 3 months to do it. About a year ago the convergence went out and I got help from the internet and was able to fix it myself by replacing the 2 STK's and 8 resistors. Now the same thing as the first problem happened again. Anybody have any insight. I like the TV but it's not worth paying to have a repaiman fix it because it will fail again. Thanks
