LCD STATUS

I am Vishwas Naidu. I have soney dcr hc42e. model from last 30 months. Since then I have found that My Lcd is not working properly. And now it displayes nothing. Battery get finished very quickly without use. tell me what will be the problem. Where should I rectify this. I am in Pune (India). Pune. Thank U.
