Re[4]: Convergence problem with JVC AV-48WP74 tv

Tracey Posted Feb 19, 2007, in response to:Mike

We have the same unit and the same problem. Our chips have been replaced but the issue still exists. Jvc Canada did tell us that to lock the convergence after installing a new chip you must be in service mode. To do this: On remote....slide the button that says TV/VCR to TV Press the sleep timer once Press the display and video buttons together This will put you into service mode. A menu will appear on the screen, and you will select #7 by pushing the 7.This is convergence B. Reset your lines manually, when this is done then press the mute button once. This step is supposed to lock it into memory. Then press the back button and you are out of the service mode. Good luck. Even with this mine is still not working and I won't spend money on JVC products ever again
