problem with JVC camcorder

Leslie Eberly Posted Feb 17, 2007

When trying to record on my JVC Camcorder it will not show what I am seeing and it says the lens cap is on when it is not. It also displays on the LCD screen two arrows along with the auto and manual symbols flashing.

My JVC camcorder is model number GR-D72U Serial number 069V2002. When my camcorder is in recording mode the LCD screen is black and it says that the lens cap is on when it is not. It also is displaying two arrows along with the auto and manual symbols flashing on the LCD screen, almost as if it is stuck between the two modes. I've tried switching back and forth between both modes and nothing helps. Does anyone know what can be done? Thanks
