Isn't there a site that publishes error codes.

I have a nearly new (sbout 1 yr old) Sony 60" LCD Projection TV that suddenly died. The standby light flashes red 6 times. I live on an Island in the Caribbean and would like to have some idea what the problem is. The Sony support site would only tell me to have a Sony technician look at it. While that would be ideal in a perfect world, this isn't one. Add that to being on an island, and this could take forever. It would be nice to have some idea of the posibilities. Anybody know where to find error codes published, or at least listed?
