Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 camera Problem

Black Screen

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 camera. Recently my screen has gone black. I can view past pictures so no problems with the LCD, but when I try to take a picture or shoot a video, no matter what setting. Does anyone know how to fix this without paying big bucks??!! Please!! Help!!

A classical problem with the T1. Apparently Sony knows this and has extended the free repair period for this model. Please contact Sony
