If you are going straight from your camcorder into your VCR its just simply a case of connecting the AV output socket on your camcorder into the RCA (phono) sockets on your VCR. Your camcorder should have been supplied with a lead for this purpose, its the one with two plugs on it, one being a "yellow" RCA plug which is the actual video signal, the other colour which is the audio is usually "black" but can can possibly be another colour. It goes without saying that this is an analogue coupling, so ignore anything you see in your manual referring to digital, should it mention it! although you dont mention what your camcorder is so what you have might not even record in digital anyway, although even if it did the socket you would use is through an digital to analogue converter.
