downloading mini dv and memorystick from handycam hc 42e on computer and making vcd on samsung combo.

I have purchased Sony handycam model hc 42E. I tried to download the film on my pc, but failed. I also tried to make vcd as per the instructions of the operating Gude, but again failed to have the video on the vcd as well on my pc. Please do guide me in detailed instructions about the procedure to be adopted to get the vcd on the disc. b.sagoo
