hi luis: i have the fd200 and just encountered the same problem. sony wants 183.00 to fix it. i'm thinking i might need a new battery since i had this since oct. '06 and never bought a new one yet. or maybe cos i stopped using sony floppy disk and bought the cheap ones in walmarts??? dont know. i miss my camera:(
