I have a 57" Sony HGTV that only worked for a short time. I paid approx. $2200.
I have read all of the comments on this website, and it appears alot of us are having the same general problem with our Sony Big Screen TV's. My son bought the repair manual, diagnosed our problem (by counting the number of flashes of the red light on the front), ordered a "board" from Sony, got a letter yesterday where Sony states the board we need is not available any more. They are directing us to ship our board to PA. for repair. If the board is not repairable, we are out of luck. It is my understanding that there will be no repair of this television ever if my board is not repairable, because there are no parts available from the mfg. My son says that there is a diode out on this board. Anyone gone this far in their repair process?
