HELP JVC CA-S700R HI-FI

Help with my Hi-fi as radio is not functioning, please please please!

Can anyone please advise/help? i have a jvc hi-fi (ca-s700r) with cd player, twin tape deck, and rds radio. I have just moved house and plugged the hi-fi in and everything works except the radio. There is no illumination in this section with everything else illuminated and fully functioning. There is no volume or signs of activity when radio is selected. Could there be a spade or connection out inside the hi-fi? There is a short external earth wire with a spade at each end for festening at the back of hi-fi. This connects both units as it is split into two. I would be extremely grateful if anyone could advise. Kindest regards Marsha

We have the same problem! Also we cannot find any receipts which indicate how old this system is - we think it is some 15-16 years old but perhaps you could confirm. As to the reasons of your (and ours) problem, we think it is the tuning in and it will not re-set. We have just moved it around a bit so it could be that we have made something loose. We would like to have a reply about the age of it though, if you get time. Thanks
