I replaced my broken LCD and the screen is very very dark.

I replaced my broken LCD and the screen is very very dark. It has a few screen settings in which one of the settings is a very dark battery-saving setting and now, since i replaced the screen, no matter which setting i use, its the dark looking screen. Anybody know if and what i've done wrong?
