Blue power light blinks dim to bright and theres a clicking noise. HELP

One day out of the blue we turn our tv on and the screen is blank and the blue power light blinks bright to dim and it makes a clicking noise also. I tried unplugging for hours at time to see if that would help but it does not. Any ideas to fix the problem? Thanks, Michelle
