Cassess recorder will not work seems the rubber pulley inside wont work and I cant find it anywhere.

I took it to a repair service and he told me it could not be fixed because the part was no longer available. Can anyone help me I paid alot of money for this recorder and it always recorded and played crystal clear, not like the ones you buy today
