Hi Stacy, I have a Sylvania DVD/VCR recorder, Model Number DVD90VE and have been using re-writeable discs. The other day, when I went to unfinalize one of the Re-writeable discs, (TDK 2X DVD), it suddenly wouldn't unfinalize anymore. I tried the other five re-writeable discs with the same problem. It starts and then I get and error code E4 54037380. Do you know what this means? Thanks for any help you can supply me with. Thanks, John

    Had the same error code come up.Found out .that I needed to clean my lense on my recorder.Got a lense cleaning disk and it is back in working order.A cd lense disk should work as well.good luck
