Can anybody help getting started with my camera a jvc GR-DX25e it only gives massage lens cap.

When I want to start using the camera it gives a massage "lens cap" and it gives no picture only blackscreen. The lens cap is off !!!so can someone tell what is wrong. I can not find in settings, the lcd screen works when i play a recorded tape.
