Full info sent on using JVC's published procedure to obtain the free (QUALIFIED) repair on this fault. I wouldn't really advise taking it into any Curry's branch as if the device is out of guarantee they are not really obligated in any way to send it back to JVC for you (might do though as a goodwill measure if a known customer!) and indeed just about two weeks ago a person who posted on this forum seeking assistance reported he had been given an estimate of £200 for the CCD repair when he enquired at his local Curry's branch.
