Need help to resolve red convergence problem

Hi - like many of you I am having the red convergence problem. The nine crosses are white but in addition, I also get 9 red crosses which are projected as a deformed and asymmetric 3x3 image. This thread shows that this malady is a known problem. I would very much appreciate any help I can get - schematic, chip or resistor to replace, repair instructions, etc. Much thanks in advance.
