SONY KV27TS32

main dude Posted Jan 03, 2007

Dead set

I have a Sony KV27TS32 TV. It started shutting down in hot summer days few hours after it was turned on. All I had to do was to let it stay off for few minutes, then try to turn it on. It would turn on and stay on ever after. Last time this happened it never turned on, 6 month ago. When I turn it on I can hear the degussing sound but it quickly shuts off before any flicker appears on the screen. I have changed the following parts: Q591, Q601, Q602, R607, R644, R611, R612, RY602, Q604, Q614, IC602, R636, D638, D622, VDR601, VDR602, and VDR603. Any help is greatly appreciated

Forgot to mention that with all the part changes above it still behaves the same. It is also worth mentioning that the PCB has moderately discolored under and around T605 (TRANSFORMER, FERRITE(SBT)) but the copper traces are in good shape. Most of the component that I changed were in this area of the board. Although T605 itself does not seem damaged/burnt out, but I thought I change it anyway. I tried hard but could not find a replacement for T605 (142358221 or 142358211).
