Re[3]: Convergence problems on AV-48WP30

John - 31st Dec 2006 23:00

Did you find a place to buy the SSB-5051A-M2 ? I think I need to buy this for my TV (the entire circuit board cracked). Does this come with the IC installed, or is it just the board? Would I need to buy anything else, or just install it?

thanks JOHN

Mine cracked also. JVC won't sell it to me direct but if you can find a service center to order it for you, it is $267.00. I think I found someone to order it for me so if I do get it, I will let you know if it works.

So does the board come fully assmbled? Does it already have the IC chips and bundled cord to the Covergence OSD? I just want to do as little as soldering as possible, and for $300 bucks I'm hoping I can just clip it in!! thanks for your help, JOHN

Sorry...couldn't answer your questions until I got the board in my hands. You can get the who board from andrewselectronics.com. Plug it in and away you go. They sell it to you for the same price JVC would if you were an authorized dealer.

I had a problem with my TV colors not lining up. One day I turned it on and the green was out of wack. I checked this message board and replaced the STK chips, bad soldering and all led to me just giving up on that and buying a whole new Convergence Board ($185). I replaced the missing silver box on the new board and I just plugged this in and though now my Green lines up okay, my red is out of whack. Is there something I am doing wrong?
Can anyone help me? Did i miss a step? Frustrated......Bruce
