Sony damaged ccd again

Hi all. Add another one sony dscf717 to the big collection of damaged ccd's. My camera shows purple bands in the display and was unable to take any photo (were totaly dark). But Sony in Greece told me that will repair it whithout charge even if warranty has been expired.I have used very well my camera (2500 shots to date) but last time i used was in a very hot summer day.
