I am having exactly this samw problem on my gr-d372u. The computer software just fails to detect the JVC cam. I have tried it on two computers with both Vista and XP Pro. I also have a canon cam that is detecting like it should so I know everything should work. For some reason the JVC is just a freaking headache. It's almost like there is a missing driver that should be installed first as it doesn't even make the audio sound like when a USB device is plugged or unplugged. Sure hoping that someone has discovered a solution to this... Any help would be greatly appreciated. help. i have a mac book-2008. i am trying to download old vhs tapes through my jvc-d372u camcorder. i am using a ultra cam cable. that goes from the output of the vhs to the camcorder. also from the vhs to the tv. my camcorder is attached through the dv outlet,to the computer. i am using a fire wire cord that i was told to get. the picture from the vhs does not show up on my screen or camcorder. You need to hook hook up a DV Cable from the camera to your PC. It's an item you must purchase seperate. Your USB Cable is only good for downloading still pictures, which it does automatically without any sofware, if you have Windows XP. ----- Bob ----- |
