Digital cable box not working with TV. TWC installation guy says our YPPBR component AKA HD component is bad-how do I get a replacement or know what part number it is? HELP!

We had the Time Warner installation guy out today to hook up our digital cable box. He tried 2 different ones before trying it on our LCD tv and came to the conclusion that our Sony Vega YPPBR component is bad said they also call it a HD component. Does anyone know how I can find the part number, where to get the replacement, and if it is hard to replace myself? I am pretty mechanical just never worked on a TV before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Our TV model number is: Sony KV-36FS12 Thanks in advance!
