The gr-axm9000 and the gr-axm710 have the unique ability to do stop motion animation; that is to say that you can put them in a mode such that every time you press the start/stop button the camera will film for (a quarter second, half second, a full second, or 5 seconds) depending on your preferences. When you play back the film, it looks like quasi-fluid motion. I think they were also the first JVC camcorders to do both still pictures and camcorder recordings, though the resolution is pretty terrible.
